can i just go ahead and tell everyone to forget about italy and just go to austria. because it is the BOMB.

as shown here, carnivals are open year round and have been for 30 years. totally old, totally fun, totally safe. i hope.

just driving down the highway was amazing. all the fall colors, the rolling hills, i pretty much felt like i was in a movie. a really good one.

we tasted the food, picked up some postcards, walked around, had a blast. i'm not gonna lie though, i havent found anything quite as good as banana fudge pie from kilwins yet.

i started some yoga classes and joined the gym. i know, what would i want to do in a gym, but believe you all me, this gym is really cool. my trainers name is claudio who lived in rochester new york so i talk to him about peanut butter and all the other things i'm dying without.

i've finally started taking tests in school, and theyre just about as fun as they ever were. except in a different language. my art history test i did pretty well on. every

thing is out of 8, and i got a 6+. i also took a biology test, and today had an oral test in philosophy. that one didnt really go so great, but i totally know everything about pitagora and his theories.

i also have been meeting some other exchange students in the area. miho is from tokyo, japan, and although its weird to think about, this american girl is speaking in italian to a japanese girl. i'm just running into all kinds of culture. then i met sandra from oregon, alana from nova scotia, canada, and sara from kansas. when i first got there, i remember my brain kind of went into shock after realizing that i could speak english and they would understand me and i could understand them, no problemo. but dont worry, italian is coming along as nicely as expected. its crazy to think its already been 2 months!

hope everyone had a great halloween and is preparing for the feast that is thanksgiving. i was pretty embarrassed when i had to ask mom when turkey day actually was.

i'm going to have to find the recipe for grandmas swiss apple pie and introduce italy to heaven.
